Finding Happiness

What is happiness?

Is it when you listen to the clink
Of the first cent born out of your sweat
Or is it the feeling a mother has
After her first embrace?
Or is it when you share your meal
Or if it is the realization that your heart can still feel

In a world where everyone is trying to reach to the top
Who is happy? The one that looks down all alone
Does he really have something to derive?
Or the one who didn't bother to end his race
For he knew that to travel is better than to arrive

What if you can own the world
But don’t have anyone to share it with
What pleasure does it bring, your making hay?
Are you really happier than the one who is blessed with family,
The one whose child sees him everyday

Is it true happiness when you conquer every mile
But are incapable of bringing, to someone’s lips, a smile
Is it when you show the world your might
Or when you bring, to the home of the poor, some light
At the end of his conquest, Alexander wept
For there were no more worlds to win
He certainly was poorer than the man
Who had his friends to share tonic and gin

It shouldn't be really hard to just love, pray and eat
Because life is not a war where everyone needs to be beat
Can we be truly happy if there is a tear in someone’s eye
For God didn’t make us this way to die

    Again, something to think about..
One should certainly consider all this before making any choice. Because at the end everybody wants to be happy. So, its better to know what happiness really is.
